This 8-day itinerary explores three essential regions of Laos, combining the capital Vientiane, the karst landscapes of Vang Vieng and the cultural heritage of Luang Prabang. The trip balances temples, markets, caves, rivers and natural areas, with organised logistics between stages.

How do we travel between Vientiane, Vang Vieng and Luang Prabang?
The three journeys are Vientiane–Vang Vieng, Vang Vieng–Luang Prabang and Luang Prabang–Vientiane. Timetables, class, seats and baggage allowance will be confirmed when booking.
Are flights included?
No. International or domestic flights arriving in or departing from Vientiane are not included in the published prices. Memphis Turismo can provide a separate flight quote according to your origin and chosen dates.
Which hotel categories can be selected?
The compositions are Classic and Selection, with the hotels and rooms listed in the prices section. Commercial star ratings supplied by the operator or declared by the properties are presented separately; they do not guarantee other room categories, views, floors or beds.
What language are the visits conducted in?
The planned visits include a local English-speaking guide. A Portuguese- or Spanish-speaking guide is not automatically included and will depend on a specific booking, availability and any price difference.
What is the pace and physical demand of the trip?
There is walking in temples, markets, natural areas and caves, with uneven ground, stairs and contact with water. Caves, tubing, walking and swimming must be assessed according to the travellers’ profiles and local conditions; special requests are subject to enquiry, with no automatic adaptation guaranteed.
Which meals are included?
Seven breakfasts, from Day 2 to Day 8, subject to operating schedules. On the final day, breakfast depends on the flight time. Lunches, dinners, drinks and other meals not specified are excluded.
Can I take this trip alone?
Yes, on request. Published single-room prices are based on the operational minimum of two paying passengers. A personalised quote is required for one person travelling alone.

Passport, visa and entry requirements vary by nationality, date and current rules. Memphis Turismo will indicate the applicable official sources; passengers are responsible for keeping all required documentation valid and up to date.
Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival in Vientiane
Arrival in Vientiane, the capital of Laos. Reception at the airport by a local representative and private transfer to the hotel for check-in and accommodation.
Rest of the day at leisure to rest and adjust to the destination.
Accommodation: Vientiane. Meals: not included.
Day 2
Vientiane’s temples and monuments
After breakfast, visit Wat Si Muang and Buddha Park. In the afternoon, visit Wat Sisaket and the former royal temple Wat Prakeo. On the way to That Luang, stop to photograph Patuxay. The day is planned to end by the Mekong before returning to the hotel.

Day 3
Train to Vang Vieng and caves
After breakfast, transfer to the station and take the train to Vang Vieng, with the timetable to be confirmed. On arrival, travel by songthaew to Tham Xang, the Elephant Cave; continue to Tham Hoi and Loop Cave. At Tham Nam, travel through the cave on tubes, with possible swimming near the entrance, subject to local conditions.
Walk approximately two kilometres to the Hmong village of Phathao, passing rice fields and vegetable gardens. Return by vehicle to Vang Vieng. Caves, walking, tubing and swimming must be assessed according to the travellers’ profiles and local conditions.

Day 4
Nam Song River and Vang Vieng landscapes
After breakfast, take a songthaew trip to Tham Jang and Tham Nangfa, or Angel Cave, followed by Blue Lagoon 3, with possible swimming and relaxation subject to local conditions.
Travel for around 30 minutes along the Nam Song in a traditional longtail boat, with two people per boat. On the return, there may be stops at villages and a market. The remaining time is free. Ziplining is optional and excluded, with price and conditions on request; boating and activities depend on local conditions.
Accommodation: Vang Vieng. Meals: breakfast.
Day 5
Train to Luang Prabang and Kuang Si waterfalls
After breakfast, transfer to the station and take the train to Luang Prabang. On arrival, continue to Kuang Si, with possible swimming subject to local conditions. There is an opportunity to walk to Ban Thapene and, for those who wish, briefly visit the bear rescue centre.
On the return, stop at the Ock Pop Tock Living Craft Center on the Mekong to discover textiles and traditional techniques. A free audio guide is available, with no language specified in advance. Train timetables will be confirmed when booking.

Day 6
Luang Prabang, Mekong and Pak Ou caves
After breakfast, visit the Royal Palace Museum. Take a boat trip along the Mekong to Pak Ou, stopping at Ban Xanghai en route. Boating depends on local conditions.
On the return, visit Wat Sene and Wat Xieng Thong. Heuan Chan presents Lao traditions, textiles and family life, with an opportunity to taste local coffee or tea. In the late afternoon, visit Wat Prabath and the night market.

Day 7
Return by train to Vientiane
Breakfast and free time before the return train journey to Vientiane. On arrival, transfer to the hotel for the final night.

Day 8
Departure from Vientiane
Breakfast subject to the flight time and transfer to Vientiane airport for the departure flight, which is not included. End of land services.
