Memphis Turismo: journeys around the world since 2001
Memphis Turismo is a Brazilian travel agency founded in São Paulo in 2001, specialising in cultural travel, exotic destinations, tailor-made itineraries and multi-destination trips.
For 25 years, we have turned our knowledge of destinations around the world into experiences planned with care, safety and personal service — from choosing an itinerary to returning to Brazil.
Before Memphis: our founder’s journey in tourism
The professional journey that would later lead to the creation of Memphis Turismo began in 1989, when Claudia Modesto started working in the travel industry. An important part of that experience was gained at the former Soletur, one of the leading names in Brazilian tourism, at its Avenida São Luís branch in central São Paulo.
On 6 June 2001, Claudia turned that experience into a new project: Memphis Turismo was born, also in central São Paulo, in the well-known Galeria Zarvos.
Memphis remained there for many years as a traditional travel agency, building close relationships with its clients and what is now Memphis Turismo’s 25-year track record.
Specialists in exotic destinations and cultural travel
Travelling to less conventional places requires more than simply booking hotels and flights. It takes an understanding of each destination’s particular features and working with reliable partners.
Memphis Turismo has extensive experience in destinations across Asia, the Middle East and Africa, as well as Europe and other regions of the world, with itineraries to countries such as Egypt, Turkey, Jordan, Morocco, India, Japan, Vietnam, Thailand and many others.
We also specialise in multi-destination travel, combining different countries in a single experience — including itineraries covering four or more countries.
