Travel to Iceland
Travelling to Iceland means following the relationship between ice, volcanoes, water and everyday life. The capital, Reykjavík, opens the way to museums and culture; the south coast brings together waterfalls and black-sand beaches; the Golden Circle connects history and landscape. In the Westfjords, small communities and maritime memory give the journey a different pace.
Memphis helps you choose between a trip focused on the northern lights, a south-coast circuit during the brighter season and a route dedicated to the Westfjords. Each programme has its own duration, dates and services. Availability is confirmed in the proposal, and weather and access conditions may require adjustments.

Frequently asked questions about trips to Iceland
What is the best time to travel to Iceland?
It depends on your objective. Northern lights require dark nights and favourable conditions, without a guarantee of sightings. Around June, daylight lasts longer. Compare the route, date and access conditions rather than expecting the same scenery all year round.
How many days should I allow?
The five-day programmes focus on the capital, south coast and Golden Circle. The eight-day route devotes more time to the Westfjords. They are not a complete circuit of the island. To include the north, Snæfellsnes or Jökulsárlón, a different trip arrangement must be considered.
Are the northern lights guaranteed?
No. They depend on auroral activity, darkness, cloud cover and local conditions. The northern lights programme includes activities on two nights in the Hella area, but there may be no sighting. The summer programmes do not include these activities.
Is local accompaniment in Portuguese?
Memphis provides service in Portuguese. On the three regular circuits presented here, the guide or driver-guide works in English on the specified days. Shared Flybus transfers are unaccompanied by a guide. Check the services in each proposal before booking.
Does Comfort mean a four- or five-star hotel?
No. Comfort is the accommodation category for these programmes and does not equate to an official star rating. Properties are planned or similar alternatives, subject to confirmation, and additional hotel services are not automatically included.
Do Brazilian citizens need a visa?
As a rule, Brazilian citizens travelling for short tourism stays are visa-exempt, subject to entry conditions and the limit of 90 days in any 180-day period within the Schengen Area. Documents, transit and the status of ETIAS should be checked through official sources before travel. See the guidance in the guide.
Can the trip be adapted?
Tell Memphis your dates, interests and needs so that an appropriate proposal can be considered. Extensions, additional nights, private transfers and extra activities require specific quotations and confirmation; they are not part of the regular circuit unless described in the proposal.
Can weather alter the programme?
Yes. Wind, ice, volcanic activity and road conditions can affect access and visits. Follow official and operator guidance. The itinerary choice should allow safe adjustments and realistic expectations.
Shall we plan your trip to Iceland?
Tell us your possible dates, the number of travellers and what you would most like to discover. Our team will assess the route and services suited to your journey.
