Do Brazilian citizens need a visa to travel to Greece?

When is the best time to travel to Greece?

Spring, especially between April and June, and early autumn, between September and October, tend to offer pleasant temperatures for combining archaeological sites and islands. July and August bring hot days, larger crowds and high demand for the islands. Winter can be interesting for cultural itineraries, although some island services operate less frequently. Official Greece Tourism — seasons.

How many days are ideal for exploring Greece?

A first trip can last approximately 8 to 12 days, allowing you to combine Athens with one or two islands. Longer itineraries can add Delphi, Meteora, Olympia, Crete, the Peloponnese or other Aegean and Ionian islands.

Which places should you visit on a first trip to Greece?

Athens is the main starting point for discovering the Acropolis, the Agora and important museums. Delphi and Meteora complement the historical experience on the mainland, while Santorini, Mykonos, Crete, Naxos or Paros can form the island part of the trip. The choice of islands depends on the season, pace and traveller’s interests.

How can you travel between the Greek islands?

The islands can be connected by boats, ferries and domestic flights. Routes and frequencies vary with the season, and not all islands have direct connections with one another. The itinerary order should therefore take available schedules and the time required for each journey into account.

Can a Greece itinerary be customised?

Yes. The duration, cities and islands visited, hotel category, tours, sea journeys and pace of travel can be adapted. Greece can also be combined with Turkey, Italy, Egypt and other Mediterranean destinations.
